Equity overload: Federal department keeps 294 DEI staffers on payroll, most with six-figure salaries
The Health and Human Services Department employs 294 people whose jobs focus on diversity, and the department maintains seven “minority health” offices spread across its agencies, according to a report that suggests unwinding it all will be tough for the incoming Trump administration.
The majority of those staffers, 182 workers, are paid six-figure salaries. The top diversity job earner, who works at the Food and Drug Administration, collected $221,000 in 2023, OpenTheBooks said in its report Tuesday.
The watchdog said spending on the diversity, equity and inclusion agenda “permeated” the department, appearing 829 times in its 2025 budget and totaling hundreds of millions of dollars in direct spending.

A federal disaster relief official ordered workers to bypass the homes of Donald Trump’s supporters as they surveyed damage caused by Hurricane Milton in Florida, according to internal correspondence obtained by The Daily Wire and confirmed by multiple federal employees.
A FEMA supervisor told workers in a message to “avoid homes advertising Trump” as they canvassed Lake Placid, Florida to identify residents who could qualify for federal aid, internal messages viewed by The Daily Wire reveal. The supervisor, Marn’i Washington, relayed this message both verbally and in a group chat used by the relief team, multiple government employees told The Daily Wire.

One of America’s beautiful and ecologically sensitive landscapes called The Mojave Desert has recently been targeted as one of those places where solar energy projects can be implemented. Being a place of interest, environmentalists, researchers and scientists argue that covering the place with solar panels is not a good initiative nor a solution for clean energy production.
One of the “Last Great Places” in the globe is the Mojave Desert. Its 20 million acres offer people a variety of benefits, including clean water to drink, fresh air to breathe, energy to power our lives, and economic opportunities ranging from recreation to military training. Its scenic splendour and natural wonders also provide a home to a vast array of plants and animals.

AstraZeneca’s China Head Taken Into Custody by Chinese Authorities: Reports
AstraZeneca’s China President Leon Wang has been detained by Chinese authorities, according to several media reports.
It is unclear why Wang was arrested but the news comes just days after it was reported that the pharma’s country head was under investigation for alleged medical insurance fraud. In a previous statement to BioSpace, however, an AstraZeneca spokesperson insisted that “none of our current or former senior executives are being investigated for Medical Insurance Fraud.”

The brass on the seventh floor at FBI headquarters in Washington are walking around in a daze and wary of a housecleaning since President-elect Donald Trump won his reelection on Tuesday, according to inside sources.
The Washington Times learned through several anonymous bureau sources that senior executives who run the agency were “stunned” and “shellshocked” by Mr. Trump’s victory over Vice President Kamala Harris.
“You know the fit test? How they let the standards slack on the fit test?” the first FBI source said, referring to the agency’s physical fitness requirements. “Everyone’s going to have a real problem when they’re running for the door.”

NYC Mayor Ends Food Vouchers For Illegals, Ready To Work With Trump
Facing an influx of illegal immigrants, Democratic New York City Mayor Eric Adams said he’d be happy to share ideas on the crisis with President-elect Donald Trump.
At a post-election press conference, Adams said New York now hosts 220,000 illegal immigrants and has received negligible support from the federal government.
“I want to see the federal government fix a federal problem. This is a federal problem,” Adams said when asked what help he would like to see.
It is estimated that feeding and housing the illegal immigrants for three years will cost the city $10 billion.

Judge declares Biden immigration program for spouses of U.S. citizens illegal
A federal judge on Thursday struck down a Biden administration program that would allow unauthorized immigrants married to American citizens to get legal status and a streamlined path to U.S. citizenship, declaring the policy illegal.
U.S. District Court Judge J. Campbell Barker, an appointee of President-elect Donald Trump, found the program violates U.S. immigration law, agreeing with a lawsuit filed by Texas and more than a dozen other Republican-led states.
The ruling is a major defeat for the outgoing Biden administration, which argued the policy, known as Keeping Families Together, promoted family unity among mixed-status households. When it was announced earlier this year, officials said roughly half-a-million undocumented immigrants were likely eligible for the program.

Former senior Obama advisor-turned-senior Kamala Harris advisor David Plouffe has deleted his X account after suggesting on Wednesday that Harris’ landslide defeat was Joe Biden’s fault for not dropping out soon enough, and right as a massive campaign debt scandal erupts.
“We dug out of a deep hole but not enough. A devastating loss,” Plouffe posted to X – in what many interpreted as a dig at Biden.

Judge Denies AstraZeneca’s Motion to Dismiss in Vaccine Injury Case
A federal law that grants broad legal immunity to vaccine manufacturers does not protect AstraZeneca against a breach of contract claim brought by a woman who was injured by the company’s vaccine, a U.S. judge ruled on Nov. 4.
The Public Readiness and Emergency Preparedness (PREP) Act protects manufacturers of vaccines during times of emergency, such as the COVID-19 pandemic.
Brianne Dressen sued AstraZeneca for neglecting to, as promised in a contract, cover the costs of injuries she suffered after participating in the company’s clinical trial in 2020. The pharmaceutical company said it was immune from the lawsuit under the PREP Act.

China first delegated the management of gold policy to the People’s Bank by regulations in 1983.
This development was central to China’s emergence as a free-market economy following the post-Mao reforms in 1979/82. At that time the west was doing its best to suppress gold to enhance confidence in paper currencies, releasing large quantities of bullion for others to buy. This is why the timing is important: it was an opportunity for China, a one-billion population country in the throes of rapid economic modernisation, to diversify growing trade surpluses from the dollar.

Fences go up at the White House, Naval Observatory
Ahead of Election Day, authorities are erecting new security fencing around the White House and the Naval Observatory, where Vice President Kamala Harris resides.
The barriers are part of heightened security preparations in Washington this week, as officials brace for potential unrest in the aftermath of a presidential contest expected to come down to the wire.
“These enhancements are not in response to any specific issue but are part of wide-ranging public safety preparations for Tuesday’s election,” Alexi Worley, a spokesperson for the Secret Service, said in a statement.

The damage delivered by the COVID-19 vaccines is putting Insurance companies “in very serious trouble” due to the soaring death rates across the world.
According to a report from “Richard’s Substack,” the tsunami of death as a result of the shots will be soon followed by mass destruction of the economy.
“Governments, public health ministries and Big Pharma are not talking about what is coming – because they are deeply complicit in despicable, genocidal crimes – but there are a number of prominent, world-class medical scientists explaining what is in the cards over the next few years: a tsunami of death, due to the billions of so-called Covid-19 vaccines that were injected into hordes of victims in countries all over the world,” the report reads.

In the 2020 election, President Joe Biden was not declared the winner of Nevada’s electoral votes until four days after Election Day.
Is it possible we’ll have to wait that long again?
The short answer is yes. Nevada law allows all mail ballots postmarked by Election Day to be counted until 5 p.m. on Saturday, and mail ballots with an unclear or no postmark must be counted by Friday at 5 p.m. Those statutes were upheld this year despite multiple lawsuits from state and national Republicans.

Two US pollsters say Georgia election results suggest manipulation
TBILISI (Reuters) -Two U.S. pollsters commissioned by Georgian opposition forces called into question official results that showed the governing Georgian Dream party won last weekend’s parliamentary election in the South Caucasus country, as opposition parties prepared to hold a new protest next week.
U.S. data and polling firm Edison Research, commissioned by the pro-opposition television channel Formula, said the differences between its own exit poll and the official results pointed to “manipulation” of the vote.
